Sunday school at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

There will be a potluck dinner at noon Sunday. Following the dinner, members will assemble flood buckets in Oz Hall for recent flood victims.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The mission team of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, traveled to Ronceverte, W.V., this week, where members will help residents affected by the flooding earlier in the summer.

There will be a prayer gathering in the back parking lot at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Weather permitting, there will be a campfire, s’mores and music.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank open to the public, will be open at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. No proof of income is required.

“In The News” Bible study will be at 9 a.m. Sunday in the back of the sanctuary.

Members and friends of Grace @ Calvary are invited to participate in the vigil and walk with Hope For Broken Hearts at 7 p.m. Wednesday. This event is to remember those who have lost their lives to drug addiction, to support families and friends of people who are addicted and to encourage hope that there is a way out of substance abuse.

The Rev. Deb Crusan will deliver the message at the Presbyterian Women’s Annual Thank Offering service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The Deacons will host a family movie night Saturday with a dessert time at 6 p.m. immediately preceding the movie. There is no charge, and attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item.
