CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will observe Holy Communion at both services Sunday.

The chancel choir will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the choir room.

Bible study will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Bruce as the facilitator.

Community Life Church holds services at McQuistion Elementary School.

Communion will be observed Sunday.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. The Presbyterian Church (USA) Peace and Global Witness Offering will be received during the service. Twenty-five percent of the total amount collected will remain with the local congregation for local peacemaking efforts.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will have its Building Lives According to Scriptural Truth (BLAST) program for young children from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will begin planning for the Reformation 500 Celebration with meetings at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 13, 20 and 27. To be part of the planning team, attend the meetings or contact the Rev. Kimberly Van Driel at the church office.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will celebrate World Communion at both services Sunday.

The Boy Scouts, in celebration and in appreciation for 70 years of meeting at the church, will serve the congregation breakfast at 10 a.m. Sunday.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will have its youth event, GLOW, from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Volunteers from the church will meet at 4 p.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church to set up and serve the community dinner at 5 p.m.

Butler Relay For Life will meet at the church at 6 p.m. Monday.

Ladies' Night Out will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Don and Debbie Horstman and Tom Walker will provide music during the Sunday worship service.

The final session of the fall adult Bible study will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

World Communion Sunday will be observed at the Sunday service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Peace and Global Mission offering will be received.

The women's book club will meet at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the Hall Memorial Lounge.

Sunday is the deadline to register for the Oct. 8 disc golf outing at Moraine State Park. For more information, contact Greg Heist or Pete McElhaney.

To donate food for the Wednesday Kids Club meals, sign up by the church library.

The food request for October is noodles or tuna.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will participate in the Mars Applefest with “Walking Tacos” at its booth Saturday.

World Communion will be celebrated at both services Sunday. The Rev. Alan Adams will be the guest pastor.

The women's Bible study will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the board room.

The buildings and grounds committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the board room. GriefShare will meet at 7 p.m. in the library.

The mission and outreach committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the board room.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will have Discovery Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15. Special guest speakers will lead programs for children, youths and adults. Register in the lobby or on the church website.

Saint Andrews UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate World Communion Sunday during its Sunday worship service.

A Blest Be the Tie That Binds Fall Service and Supper will be at 4 p.m. Oct. 16. The event will allow homebound members to attend church. The service will include a hymn sing and Communion. Dinner will be served after worship.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John's Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will celebrate Worldwide Communion Sunday. The Rev. David Saylor, guest minster, will lead the worship service.

Lutheran World Relief, in memory of Ruth Boughton, will be the cause of the month for October.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will offer Communion at all weekend worship services.

The 4F braised steak dinner will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The confirmation class will meet at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

3T will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the fellowship hall.

The bell choir will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The sanctuary choir will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have the monthly men's ministry breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday.

There will be a trunk sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The property and outreach committee will meet during the Sunday school hour Sunday.

Christian education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be a blessing of the pets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the picnic pavilion. Take your pet or a photograph of your pet.
