B’NAI ABRAHAM

B’Nai Abraham, 519 N. Main St., will have an 11 a.m. Sunday cemetery service at B’Nai Abraham Cemetery, 267 Portman Road.

There will be a 6:30 p.m. afternoon service and a 7 p.m. evening service Monday.

Yom Kippur services Wednesday will be at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. There will be a closing service at 6:30 p.m. and shofar blowing at 7:25 p.m. There will be a break-the-fast oneg afterward.

BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have music Sunday from Gordon Thompson.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The prayer shawl group of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will meet at 6:30 p.m. today.

Sunday’s red church offering will benefit the Mission Barn. The NOW team will meet at noon Sunday.

The men’s breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Monday at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

The First English Lutheran Church community dinner work team will meet at 4 p.m. Monday.

EMMANUEL LUTHERAN

Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 143 Church St., Prospect, will have a healing service at 4 p.m. Saturday The Rev. Gary Brown will lead the service, which is for people of all denominations. The church is handicapped accessible.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

Planning for the Reformation 500 Celebration at First English Lutheran Church will begin this month. The meetings will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 13, 20 and 27. To be part of the planning team, attend the meetings or contact the Rev. Kimberly Van Driel.

There will be a Sunday school class for infants, toddlers and their parents at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will open Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

There will be a faith formation meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The finance committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the worship and music committee will meet at 7 p.m.

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Elder Tom McMeekin will speak at the Sunday worship service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Memorial Handbell Choir also will play.

The Hill Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. Friday in the fellowship hall.

Hill Flyers Disc Golfers will meet at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the North Shore Bike Rental, Moraine State Park, for the 5 p.m. game.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Rev. William Jackson will lead the Sunday services at Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars.

The youth group will meet at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

GriefShare will meet in the library at 7 p.m. Monday.

The fiber arts group will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 13 in the fellowship hall.

The Friendly Fellowship Group will prepare Christmas gifts for shut-ins at 10 a.m. Oct. 15 in the church basement.

Families of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will go to the Pittsburgh Zoo Sunday after lunch.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons of Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the session will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
