COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Members of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will leave the church at 4:30 p.m. Saturday to travel to Refreshing Springs Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa.

There will be a Shower of Stoles exhibit Sunday. During fellowship hour, fair trade items from SERRV will be available to purchase. There will be a social justice open house with the Shower of Stoles exhibit, SERRV items and a tour of the Underground Railroad from 4:40 to 7 p.m. There will be a worship service at 7 p.m. for the LGBTQ community, their friends, families and straight allies.

FAITH FELLOWSHIP ALLIANCE

Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, will have a Thanksgiving healing and praise service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have a 6 p.m. worship service Sunday in addition to the morning service.

The midweek praise and prayer service, youth group and Kids’ Klub will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, will not have the BLAST children’s program Wednesday.

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will host the Butler Area Lutheran Ministries meeting at 6 p.m. today.

The church will have stewardship commitment Sunday.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will host the 2016 International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be a documentary, remembrance activity and ceremony, and a presentation on grief and grief resources.

Food donations for Luther’s Table and Covenant Food Cupboard will be received at this week’s Harvest Home Sunday. The congregation will meet after the service.

Members of the church will lead worship with the LIFE Butler County adult day program at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.

There will be a GLOW planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Advent season will begin Nov. 27 with a special worship service to hang sacred Christian symbols on the sanctuary Christmas tree.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

THE SOWER'S CHAPEL

The Sowers Chapel, 100 Iron Bridge Road, Sarver, will have a Thanksgiving festival service at 11 a.m. Nov. 24. Nonperishable food donations will be received for the Freeport Food Bank during a joyful procession.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will have its annual congregational meeting after the worship service Nov. 27.

The Friendly Fellowship Group will not meet Nov. 26 and Dec. 24.

Christmas poinsettias will go on sale after Thanksgiving. Order forms will be available from Yvonne or Jayne.

There will be a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, will celebrate Holy Communion during the Sunday worship service.

There will be a short congregational meeting following the service.

The congregation will host the Connoquenessing area Thanksgiving eve service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The praise team of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will meet at 6:30 p.m. today followed by the generations choir meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Students in grades nine to 12 can join the senior high youth group to pack college care kits from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

There will be Communion Sunday.

The Glade Run Christmas campaign for special-needs children will begin Sunday.

The bell place choir will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. and the bell choir will rehearse at 7 p.m. Tuesdays until Christmas.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will mark Christ the King weekend with Communion offered at all worship services.

The youth choir will practice at 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The confirmation class will meet at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

There will be no children’s hour this week.

The Thanksgiving eve service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday and be followed with a pie reception in Christ Chapel.

The church office will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, canceled the Friday exercise class.

Sunday is the deadline to sign up for the cookie exchange.

The church council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

The church office will be closed from Nov. 23 to 25. It will reopen at 9 a.m. Nov. 28.
