Earl A. Bailey, 82, of Karns City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, at Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo, while in the company of his family.

Earl was born in Tarentum on Dec. 10, 1940. He was the son of the late Roy and Gladys McCanna Bailey and stepson of the late Mae Binkard Bailey.

He was a graduate of Fairview Township-Karns City High School.

Earl had been employed as a shift supervisor at Koppers, now Indspec, in Petrolia for over 40 years. Earl had a strong work ethic and was a longtime family farmer. He enjoyed hunting, trips to casinos and the companionship of his dog, “Scout.”

He is survived by his wife, Pamela C. Double Bailey, whom he married in Fairview, on July 6, 1962.

Also surviving are his children, Ken Bailey and his wife, Bobbi, of Karns City, Cris Bailey and his wife, Danielle, of Coral Gables, Fla., Colin Bailey and his wife, Missy, of Karns City and Leigh Nagy and her husband, Imre, of Karns City; a daughter-in-law, Tina Bailey of Karns City; 11 grandchildren, Justin Bailey and his wife, Kelly, Jackie DeBacco and her husband, Zach, Natasha Bailey, Quin, Mason, Josie and Jolina Bailey, Morgan Nagy (Brian Bush), Nathan Nagy, Makala Callihan and her husband, Cory, and Brock Bailey (Ryen Mealy); and three great-grandchildren, Xavier Bailey, Remington Beer and Junior Pearce, and Earl was looking forward the to birth of his fourth great-grandchild; a brother, Pete Clark and his wife, Margaret, of Mercer; two sisters, Kay Bielstein and Eileen Easley, both of Karns City; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, Earl was preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Bailey, who died on Nov. 21, 2013.

BAILEY — Friends of Earl A. Bailey, who died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF KARNS CITY, 128 Main St., Karns City.
