CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The red church offering Sunday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will benefit Olmsted Manor’s renovation project.

The confirmation class will meet at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Men’s breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Monday at Kings Restaurant, 119 New Castle Road.

The First English Lutheran Church work team will meet at 5 p.m. Monday.

The finance committee will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday.

CHRIST OUTREACH

The Rev. Mitch Tapper will be the guest speaker Sunday at Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper during the Sunday service.

Christmas decorations will be removed at 9 a.m. Saturday. For more information, contact Connie Brown.

The worship and music committee will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Romaine MacDonald Memorial Room.

FIRST BAPTIST

Sunday’s service schedule at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., includes 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes and an 11 a.m. worship service followed by lunch and a 1 p.m. worship service.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

There will be no Christian living classes Sunday at First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St. There will be a prayer meeting at 10 a.m. followed by the Sunday worship service.

The new sermon series on Ephesians and other sermons by the pastor, the Rev. Dave Trepanier, will be available at www.fbcec.org.

The BLAST children’s ministry will resume at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is for children age four to sixth grade.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will resume its regular schedule Sunday. Services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m. and Sunday school will be at 9:45 a.m.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will host the monthly youth event, GLOW, for children ages 5 to 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The event will include fun, faith formation and dinner.

The finance committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the worship and music committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A new Bible study will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

The church will celebrate the New Year at 10 a.m. Sunday. Michelle Huff, Patty Miller and Joyce Moore will conduct the music.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Hill Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. Friday in the fellowship hall.

Interim pastor, the Rev. James Steiner, will lead the service Sunday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The handbell ensemble will ring.

Community lunches will be assembled at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The women’s book club will meet at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in Hall Memorial lounge.

The food request for January is saltine or graham crackers.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., will celebrate Communion at both services Sunday.

There will be a meeting for newly elected deacons and elders at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the board room.

The youth group will resume at 5:30 p.m. Sunday for middle school students and at 7 p.m. for high school students.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Ordination and installation of officers will be during worship Sunday at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars.

The women’s association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a post-Christmas party.

The church is providing desserts for South Butler County Meals on Wheels three days a week in January. To donate desserts, contact Linda Millson on Sunday or deliver them from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday to the rear of Glade Run Church.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The mission offering for January at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will benefit the McKee Memorial Fund and support the work of PCUSA mission co-worker Dr. Barbara Nagy. She serves at Nkhoma Hospital in Malawi.

The annual service of remembrance will be during worship Jan. 22. To have a rose placed in memory of a loved one who died in 2016, contact the church office by Jan. 17.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate Epiphany during worship services Sunday.

Sunday school for all ages will resume at 9:30 a.m.

The outreach and evangelism team will lead the 2 p.m. Sunday worship at Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Hattie Cooper Room.

St. Luke’s Stars will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday in the fellowship hall.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The men’s ministry breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive.

Outreach will meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday at the church.

There will be an out to lunch at Snack N Pack, 353 E. Jefferson St., after the 11 a.m. service Sunday.

Mutual Ministry will meet after the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The youths will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church to go to SNL.

The health and wellness ministry will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

The stewardship committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
