Timothy Anderson

Anderson

Timothy Scott “Tim” Anderson, 61, of Mars, lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House. He was born in Butler in 1962 to Cordella M. (Simpson) Anderson and William N. Anderson and was the youngest of their seven children.

Tim graduated from Mars High School and Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) of Arizona. After completing his training at MMI, he spent 15 years custom-building motorcycles in Arizona and then returned to Pennsylvania, where he worked as a maintenance technician for K & K Mechanical Services.

Tim was known for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor and is remembered as a man who had a big heart and was willing to help anyone who asked, whether it was with mechanical issues, building, cooking, woodworking or event crafts. He loved spending time with his family and friends at Quiet Oaks Campgrounds in Cross Fork, Pa., where he enjoyed helping with the music festival, making apple butter and taking in the outdoors. He also loved taking his great nieces and nephews for rides on his side-by-side every chance he got.

Surviving are his siblings, Kenneth T. Anderson of Vietnam, Douglas N. Anderson of Arizona, Mark A. Anderson of Mars, Tamara L. Jones (John) of Callery; his brother-in-law, Dennis A. Zilla of New Castle; his friend, Kelly Barber of Mars; and his nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William G. Anderson; his sister, Debra L. (Anderson) Zilla; and his sister-in-law, Jacqueline (Brick) Anderson.
