Cluster A. Goodman
Cluster Allen "Bud" Goodman, 72, of Marienville HC 3, died Tuesday at his home following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Perryville, the son of Elton Lawson and Elizabeth Shimmer Horn Goodman.
He was married April 25, 1959, in Chicora to the former Gisela Thiede, who survives.
Mr. Goodman retired from the U.S. Army in 1977 after more than 22½ years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the Worthington American Legion.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and one son, Evelyn P. Crytzer of Monessen, Carol Sheets and her husband, Ralph, of Marienville and Michael Goodman. Also surviving are five brothers, Augusta Ray Goodman of Rimersburg, Olen LeRoy Goodman of West Virginia, Elvin Elton Goodman of Knox, Edward Lemon Goodman of New Bethlehem and Floyde Eugene Goodman of West Virginia. He also is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a daughter-in-law, Michelle Goodman Martin of Parker; and a son-in-law, Donald Paul Crytzer of Ford City.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sisters, Della, Myrtle Bell, Edith, Julianna, Irma, Lillian and William.
<B>GOODMAN</B> — Friends and family of Cluster Allen "Bud" Goodman, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Ronald McDonald Funeral Home</B> in Marienville. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gregory Passauer presiding. A burial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township, Venango County, with full military honors.
