Cranberry Public Library hosts cybersecurity program
Cranberry Public Library will host an educational talk Tuesday, Oct. 3, about online safety in observation of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
The program starts at 6 p.m. It will be held with the state Department of Banking and Securities and teach attendees how to to protect themselves online using secure websites, strong passwords, social media awareness and online shopping tips.
“The department offers free and informative presentations year-round to the general public on a variety of investor education and other financial topics such as cybersecurity,” said Katrina Boyer, investor education coordinator with the department. “Our goal is to help consumers and investors statewide protect and grow their money through the programs we offer.”
