Edward Frank Natali, 80, of Butler died Saturday morning at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born Oct. 13, 1927, in Lyndora, he was a son of the late Anthony and Aneila (Pelczar) Natali.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1946 and had worked as a roll grinder for the Armco Steel Plant in Butler for 36 years until his retirement in 1989.

He was lifelong resident of Butler and was a member of St. Fidelis, formerly St. Stanislaus, Roman Catholic Church, in Lyndora, the St. Stanislaus Men's Club, the Highfield Hall Club, the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora, the VFW Post 249 in Butler and the Knights of Columbus 866 in Butler. He had volunteered at the Butler VAMedical Center for 16 years, having worked more than 10,000 hours.

Ed had enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, hunting and bowling.

A veteran of the Korean War, he had served in Germany with the Army.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores Lorraine (Frazier) Natali, who he married in Lyndora Sept. 23, 1950; a son, Edward Russell Natali, his wife, Julie K. Natali and grandchildren, Rachel and Caleb Natali, all of Butler; a daughter, Linda Thompson and her husband, Tom Thompson, of Butler, and grandchildren, Rindi and Brianne Bollinger of Pittsburgh and Ericia Bollinger of Butler; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler Ultrich; two sisters-in-law, Jenny and Irene Natali of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Rudolph, Charles "Kay," Mitchell and Walter Natali; and two sisters, Helen Natali and Gertrude Strella.

<B>Natali </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Edward Frank Natali, who died Saturday, July 26, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 303 Penn Ave., Lyndora. The Rev. George Palick, parochial vicar, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home for a parish vigil service. Members of the K of C will meet at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to recite the rosary.
