Vera J. Buckowsky, 81, of Lyndora passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Sunnyview Home.

Born in Lyndora on May 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophie Evanyshyn Buckowsky.

She was a retired medical technologist.

She also formerly owned and operated The Yarn Mart on West Jefferson Street in Butler.

She enjoyed knitting, needlework and helping others.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora.

She is survived by one brother, Daniel Buckowsky of Lyndora; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Bemben of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

<B>Buckowsky</B>— Blessing services for Vera J. Buckowsky, who died Feb. 13, 2010, were held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Avenue, Butler, with the Rev.
