William B. Stivason
William B. Stivason, 83, of Butler and East Brady passed away Wednesday at his home in East Brady.
Born March 23, 1926, in Garretts Run, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Stella Altman Stivason.
He was employed at Roto Blast for 37 years, retiring when the plant closed.
He was a Lutheran.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army.
He was a volunteer at the VA Butler Healthcare, and he was a member of American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora as well as a life member of VFW Post 249 of Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Gordon Stivason, to whom he was married for 62 years; one son, William "Sonny" Stivason of Butler; two daughters, Linda Parise and her husband, William, of Rochester, Pa., and Susie Stivason of Butler; one brother, Harold Stivason of Butler; and two grandchildren, Chad Parise of Rochester, Pa., and Devan Parise of Monaca.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
<B>STIVASON</B> — Friends of William B. Stivason, who died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
