Ronald L. “Ron” Wolfe Sr., 86, of Kittanning, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1937, in Templeton, Armstrong County, Pa., to Harry L. and Tressa V. (Bowser) Wolfe.

Ron was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, both in Kittanning, and the American Legion of Cowansville, Pa. He had last been employed at Eljer Plumbing Ware and previously also worked at Moonlight Mushrooms and for 20 years at the former Drexel Refractory. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending local fairs and playing bingo. He loved his Dodge Ram truck and his white Cadillac. Ron will be lovingly remembered for being detailed-oriented and hardworking.

He is survived by one son, Ronald L. Wolfe Jr. and his wife Robin, of Renfrew; daughters, Donna Yount and her husband Wayne Allen and Lisa McAuley, all of Kittanning; four grandsons, Lucas Wolfe and wife Jocelyn, Seth Wolfe, Justin Ritter and Travis Ritter and wife Kara; two granddaughters, Kayla Walker and Shayla Walker; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Miller and her husband Larry, of Templeton, Pa., and Margaret A. Evans, of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Yvonne (DuBrock) Wolfe, whom he married June 20, 1959, and who died May 25, 2003; a daughter, Tammie S. Ghoneim; and one sister, Louise Wolfe.

WOLFE — The family of Ronald L. “Ron” Wolfe Sr., who died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at BAUER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Grimm and the Rev. Richard Molgaard co-officiating.

Interment will be at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, Pa.
