Judith “Judy” (Johnson) Minehart, 88, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026.

She was born in New Castle on May 22, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Virginia (Wimer) Johnson.

Judy was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always teaching everyone around her. Later in life, she went to college to get her degree so she could finally teach professionally.

Judy was passionate about her family, teaching, history and Pittsburgh sports. Her happy place was Nags Head, N.C. We all have peace knowing she is reunited with her dad, mom and sister.

Judy was survived by her children, Terri (Joe) Doerflein, Gary “Rip” (Chris) Minehart, Penny Barkley and John Minehart; grandchildren, Rachel (Robb) Ray, Joshua Minehart and Kelsey Minehart, Kristen (Zane) Eury, Jakoby Minehart and Melanie Minehart; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Campbell and Delaney Ray and Bella Eury.

Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Johnson.

MINEHART — Family and friends of Judith “Judy” (Johnson) Minehart, who died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Funeral services will immediately follow at the church.
