Bartley

William Bartley, 65, of Slippery Rock, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on Aug. 22, 1958, to the late Leland and Helen (Leight) Bartley.

After graduating from Butler High School in 1977, Bill worked at Allegheny Axle for years, then AK Steel for 22 years as a crane operator until retirement. He was known for being hardworking, helping anyone in need and loved spending time with his family. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Bill was the beloved husband of Cathy (Mershimer) Bartley since their marriage in 1978; father of Robert Bartley and Billie Jo Bartley; and grandfather of Conor and Michael. He is also survived by his in-laws, Don and Shirley Mershimer. He will be forever loved by Dot Beggs.

William was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bartley.

BARTLEY — Services for William Bartley, who died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
