Riddle

Doris “Dorie” Riddle, 92, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville.

Dorie was born May 3, 1931, in Forestville. She was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Mabel Seaton Bovard.

Dorie attended Slippery Rock High School. She married James C. Riddle on Oct. 25, 1958. He passed away Sept. 17, 2006.

Dorie was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a true caregiver. She took pride in the excellent care she provided for her husband and sons prior to their passings. Dorie was of the Methodist faith.

Loved ones to cherish her memory are her many nieces and nephews.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; husband; her two sons, Rodney Riddle, who passed away in 2009, and Brian Riddle, who passed away in 2016; and her brothers and sisters, Norma, Betty, Chuck, Gary, Shirley and Audrey.

RIDDLE — Family of Doris “Dorie” Riddle, who died Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at JAMISON-MCKINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. The Rev. Willard Morse will be officiating the service at the funeral home at 2 p.m.
