9:58 p.m. Tuesday — Dante E. Dixon, 30, of Butler was arrested for allegedly hitting his girlfriend, 27-year-old Tonya L. Claypool, in the face during a domestic dispute at her South Washington Street home she shares with her mother.Dixon also is accused of grabbing and pushing to the ground his girlfriend's mother, 48-year-old Cynthia L. Claypool, when she tried to help her daughter, a police report said. Tonya Claypool was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor facial injuries.Police charged Dixon with simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment this morning.10:45 a.m. Tuesday — Brandon S. Smith, 21, no known address, was arrested on a warrant. Police said a search of Smith turned up a metal pipe with suspected marijuana residue. He also had two Suboxone tablets, for which he had no prescription, a police report said.Smith is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant.

3:53 p.m. Sunday — A Clarion County couple was hurt when a car rear-ended their motorcycle at Routes 68 and 356. Barry Dittman, 56, who was driving the cycle, and Anna Dittman, 55, a passenger, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Police said Allen McGouldrick, 38, of Butler who was driving the car while on a cell phone, was cited for careless driving, driving at an unsafe speed and driving without insurance.9:25 p.m. Saturday — Jaime Homison, 25, of East Butler faces drug charges after she was found sleeping in her vehicle at a convenience store on Freeport Road. Officers said they searched Homison and found her with suspected heroin and other contraband.Homison is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

Sunday — John Bryant Williams, 31, of Pittsburgh was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Williams failed field sobriety tests and was given a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.177 percent, according to court documents, or more than double the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.In addition to drunken and drugged driving, Williams is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, driving north in the southbound lanes, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.Friday — Police arrested Frederick J. Phillips III, 29, of Butler on drug trafficking charges. He is accused of selling $50 of crack cocaine to a police informant on four occasions between March 29 and April 13 in Butler.Phillips is charged with four counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in Butler County Prison on $55,000 bail.July 21 — Two riding lawn mowers worth a combined $500 were stolen near Anderson and Holben roads in Clinton Township.

10 a.m. Tuesday — A Texas trucker was injured when his rig hit a guardrail and rolled over on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County.London T. Wilson, 25, of San Antonio was treated at UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, Venango County, for minor injuries suffered in the crash. Police said Wilson was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
