Albert N. Jacques Jr.
Albert N. Jacques Jr., 84, of Sarver, Buffalo Township, formerly of Brackenridge, died Wednesday at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born and raised in Brackenridge and lived in Sarver for 35 years.
He was a retired Navy lieutenant junior grade, served during World War II and became a commissioned officer 1951. He was a member of the MOAA, the Military Officers Association of America.
He received his bachelor's degrees from Thiel College and a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
He retired in 1989 after 40 years of teaching U.S. history, anthropology and sociology at Har-Brack and in the Highlands School District.
He was a member of the Methodist church and attended and taught Sunday school at the Brackenridge Church of God.
He previously served as treasurer for the Tar-Brack Little League. He was a member of PSEA. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, model railroads and especially enjoyed making cards on his computer for special occasions for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna N. Jacques; two daughters, Doris Coriale (Henry Austin) of Butler and Esta Mae Laughner (Richard) of Butler; five grandchildren, Janeen Coriale of Port Richey, Fla., Jennifer Coriale of King of Prussia, William Myers (Marsha) of Bernville, Robert Myers (Jennifer) of Landisville and Carrie Ann Myers of Harrisburg; five great-grandchildren, William Myers Jr., Austin Myers, Brittany Myers, Nathan Myers and Mathew Myers; and two step-grandchildren Jamie Laughner and Jessie Laughner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert N. and Esta Myers Jacques; a son, Ronald A. Jacques in 1971; and a granddaughter, Cathy Jo Myers in September 2008.

Jacques Jr., who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME</B>, 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
