Tuesday — At least three windows were broken in an early morning rock-throwing vandalism spree in Lyndora.A rock was thrown through a bedroom window of a house in the 200 block of Bessemer Avenue, near where a mother and her 11-year-old son were sleeping about 2:35 a.m. No one was injured.Meanwhile, police reported that rocks also broke the second story window of another Bessemer Avenue home as well as the window of a car parked on Penn Avenue.Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.5:22 p.m. Monday — Albert Werner, 85, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car backed into a parked vehicle at the W. Ricks Taproom and Grill parking lot on Meridian Road.

Tuesday — A Grove City woman was injured when she rear-ended a paving truck at the intersection of Grove City Road and Kelly Boulevard.Police said a Shield's Paving truck had stopped for a traffic light when a car driven by Barb Hehman slammed into it.Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department responded, along with Slippery Rock EMS. Hehman's injuries were considered to be minor.

Saturday — Four people were arrested for driving under the influence during a sobriety checkpoint detail in Jackson Township.Task force officers stopped 511 vehicles and, in addition to the DUI arrests, issued nine traffic citations and four warnings.

Monday — Lucas Patterson of Grove City told police that an iPod valued at $220 was stolen from his unlocked car on Longwell Drive in Pine Township. The theft occurred between 5 and 10:15 p.m.

July 19 — An unknown burglar between July 7 and 19 stole numerous power tools from a garage at the Frew Mill Road home of Steven Breitenstein in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
