Bova

Peter P. “Dinky” Bova, 86, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 27, 2023, in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

Pete was the beloved husband of the late Mary Bova.

Born in Pittsburgh, on June 29, 1937, he was the loving son of the late Ellen and Peter Bova.

Pete’s career was a significant part of his life. In 1972, he founded Bova Sheet Metal on the South Side, which eventually flourished into Bova Corp., now operated by surviving family in Valencia. Pete’s dedication to his work was unwavering, and even in his later years when he couldn’t actively run the business, he remained a familiar face in the shop, visiting almost daily.

Pete had served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Pete is survived by his son, Dean Bova and his wife, Beth; his grandson, Matthew and his wife, Jessica; his grandson, Christopher and his wife, Nicole; his granddaughter, Andrea and her husband, Pete; as well as nine great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister, Gail; and his brother, Marc.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bova; his mother, Ellen; his father, Peter; and his sister, Barbie Menzel.

Peter Bova will be remembered for his hard work, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of success and a strong bond that will be cherished by his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.

BOVA — Friends of Peter P. “Dinky” Bova, who died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler. Please meet at the church.

Entombment will be in the Chapel at Butler County Memorial Park.
