Czzowitz

David Czzowitz, 73, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on June 3, 1950, to the late Stanley Sr. and Catherine (Simko) Czzowitz.

After graduating from Butler High School, David worked at Pullman until it closed. Then he worked as director of security for almost 30 years until his retirement. He was known for being a great husband, father and grandfather, funny and loving. David loved woodworking, hunting and fishing, and he was an overall avid outdoorsman.

David was the beloved husband of Bernadette (Bergbigler) Czzowitz since their marriage in 1969; father of Tina (George J.) Zacherl and Diane (Mark Wagner) Grenek; brother of Lewis (Barbara) Czzowitz; grandfather of Courtney (Sam) Ashton, Joel (Kirsten) Zacherl and Caleb Grenek; and great-grandfather of Zoey Paige Ashton.

David was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley Jr. and John.

CZZOWITZ — Services for David Czzowitz, who died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, are being held privately through SPENCER GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
