Jurysta

Donna B. Jurysta, 79, of Butler passed away Friday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 17, 1930, in Glens Falls, N.Y., the daughter of the late Julius Brodbeck and Leah (Dewberry) Brodbeck.

Donna was baptized in St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College with a bachelor of science in art education. She had been a teacher for Mars School District for 35 years.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, reading, music and art.

Donna will be missed by all who loved her.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Stephen S. Jurysta of Butler; two daughters, Charlotte L. Bonner of Butler and Cathi Brys-Smith of Sugar Land, Texas; a stepson, Robert (Charlene) Jurysta of Butler; a stepdaughter, Mary Alice Layton of New Castle; two grandchildren, Jeremy Matthew Brys Sr. and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Smith, both of Sugar Land, Texas; a great-grandson, Jeremy Matthew Brys Jr. of Sugar Land, Texas; a step-grandson, Steven Jurysta of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Julianne Brodbeck Sloan.

<B>JURYSTA</B> — Friends of Donna B. Jurysta, who died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W.
