8:01 a.m. Wednesday — Erin C. Torres, 23, was arrested after allegedly struggling with a pair of officers called to her home in the 500 block of West Penn Street for a domestic dispute.Police said when they got there Torres started yelling at them. She would not stop shouting even after being told to be quiet, a police report said.She is accused of pushing an officer, which prompted a brief scuffle with two officers. One of the officers drew his Taser and gave her a warning. She complied with police and was arrested.She was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.3:12 p.m. Tuesday — An Armstrong employee reported finding a purse and wallet in a Dumpster behind the company's building on North Main Street. A short time later the owner, a 52-year-old woman, notified police that the purse was taken from her car that was parked on Howard Street earlier that day.The one item missing from the purse or wallet, she said, was a $1 bill, according to a police report.Tuesday — Police cited Bryan Heath, 49, of Butler with hit-and-run stemming from a 7:45 p.m. March 28 crash in the 100 block of Cleveland Street. Heath was driving a car that struck a parked vehicle and, according to a police report, did not stop following the crash. Heath later told officers that he thought he had struck a garbage can, the report said.6:23 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Christin L. Kuhn, 19, of Lyndora collided with a sport utility vehicle at Hansen Avenue and Pillow Street. Police said Kuhn was cited for a red light violation. Rebecca Salata, 35, of Butler was driving the SUV.Friday — An unknown thief overnight broke into a car parked in the 300 block of Third Street. The car was ransacked, the owner told police, but only $6 was taken from a wallet.

8:03 a.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Charles Schmitzer III, 75, of Butler struck a deer on Dutchtown Road.State Police, ButlerMarch 28 — An unknown thief stole a Kubota riding mower in a burglary on Oak Grove Lane in Mercer Township. The mower, which is orange with black lettering, was taken between March 21 and 28.
