Evelyn W. Snyder, 82, of Upland, Calif., formerly of Industry in Beaver County, died Saturday at San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland.

Born July 27, 1924, in Old Washington, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ronald H. and Lillian B. Haga Gibbs.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Snyder was a Baptist.

Surviving are a son, James C. Snyder Jr. of Upland, Calif.; a daughter, Elizabeth F. Winkle of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Her husband, James C. Snyder, whom she married Aug. 16, 1946, died March 7, 2003. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.

<B>SNYDER </B>— Friends of Evelyn W. Snyder, who died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>,<B> </B>105 Fourth St., East Brady. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Lawrence, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Westland, Mich., officiating. Private burial will be at the Bradys Bend Cemetery, Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.
