Zier

L. Jean Zier, 82, of Cabot died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Aug. 16, 1926, in Oklahoma, Pa., she was the daughter of Walter and Helen (Powell) Turner.

A homemaker, she was a member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Freeport. She loved crafts, flowers and gardening.

Surviving are her husband, W. Leland Zier, who she married on Oct. 2, 1954; a son, William Zier of Moon Township; a grandson, Christopher Zier of Moon Township; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, William Powell.

<B>ZIER</B>— Friends of L. Jean Zier, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Hupp officiating.
