6:34 a.m. Tuesday — Jason Steighner, 23, of Renfrew was arrested for driving under the influence on Hansen Avenue. He was charged with possession of heroin, cocaine and drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement authorities, and driving with a suspended license.
3:09 p.m. April 27 — Dave Szakelyhidi, Harmony borough councilman, reported several trees recently planted by the borough on Jackson Street were vandalized with spray paint.11:50 a.m. April 24 —- Joseph Buzzelli, the owner of Nino's Trattoria, 109 North Main St., reported the theft overnight of $87.50 from the cash register.11:52 p.m. April 16 —- Daniel Radanovich, 54, of Coraopolis, Allegheny County, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Route 19.
12:45 p.m. Wednesday — A 16-year-old boy was caught on Route 68 near Hazel Street in Zelienople shortly after running away from the Glade Run Lutheran Services facility.Facility staff members had flagged down a trooper to report the runaway. The trooper caught the boy, who refused to comply with the officer's orders. The youth also allegedly yelled profanities and threatened authorities.Police charged the boy in juvenile court for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.10:40 p.m. Tuesday — Police are seeking two girls who reportedly ran away from their Moran Road home in Summit Township.Authorities identified the girls as Carissa Kelsea, 14, who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall with brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes; and Angle Bergbigler, 11, who is 4 feet, 5 inches tall, about 75 pounds, with brown below-the-shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.Anyone with information about the girls' whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.7:10 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Evans City girl, who police did not identify, struck a road sign and tree on Ribold Road in Forward Township.12:15 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Crystal Reppermund, 23, of Butler and Katherine Hog, 55, of Slippery Rock collided on Route 68 near Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. Both vehicles, following the collision, struck a car driven by Debra Hollefreund. 34. of Butler.Reppermund and Hogg, both who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.5:46 p.m. Sunday — Six people were injured when a minivan driven by Ashley Turner, 18, of Radiant, Va., and a car driven by Daniel Yoder, 25, of Erie collided on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Turner and four passengers in her van were treated for minor to moderate injuries at UPMCPassavant Cranberry. Police noted all occupants in the van are college students from Virginia.An unidentifiedpassenger in the car was treated for moderate injuries at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Police said Turner was talking on a cell phone at the time of the crash. She was cited for careless driving.8:30 p.m. April 27 — A car driven by Courtney Anthony, 31, of Butler crashed and rolled onto its side on Protzman Road near Herman Road in Summit Township. Anthony was cited for driving with a suspended license, driving too fast for conditions, driving on the wrong aside of the road and making a false report during an accident investigation.10:30 a.m. April 27 — Jamie Ruggles, 20, no known address, and Christopher Gratzinger, 19, no known address, allegedly stole a deer rifle from a Chicora Road home in Oakland Township.Clyde Moore of Boyers, who is related to Ruggles, owns the rifle. The suspects are charged with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.3 a.m. April 20 — Logan Peoples, no age given, of Emlenton was arrested for driving under the influence at Parker Pike and Route 268 in Allegheny Township. Peoples was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.April 17 — Timothy Donahue of Pittsburgh reported someone between September 2005 and April 17 broke into his camp at Moraine Camplands on Staff Road, Brady Township and stole a 27-inch television/videocassette recorder/DVD player and a 13-inch TV/VCR. The stolen property is valued at $400.8 p.m. April 2 — Two boys, ages 14 and 17, allegedly broke into a shed at an Elmwood Lane home in Clay Township and took undisclosed items valued at $785. The boys, who police did not identify, were later charged in juvenile court with burglary and theft. Edward Smith of Chicora owns the stolen property.
2:27 a.m. Sunday — Matthew Hollingsworth, 24, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 861 in Porter Township, Clarion County.
2:55 p.m. Tuesday — Andrew Snyder, 30, of Cowansville was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop at Route 268 and Montgomery Road in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Officers had stopped Snyder for an undisclosed equipment violation when they allegedly found him with 49 pills of different medication that was not prescribed to him. He was also found with $706 in currency.Snyder was arraigned on charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, and placed in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
