David “Jim” Dodds, 66, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on Jan. 27, 1957, to the late David and Twila (Winters) Dodds.

After graduating from Butler High School, Jim continued on to graduate from Duquesne University with honors. His main life’s focus was music, as he was an accomplished drummer. He taught, gave lessons, set up for bands and shows and especially loved playing and performing. Jim was loved and will be forever missed.

He was the brother of Wendy Kessler, Brian Dodds and Bill Dodds. He also is survived by his longtime companion, Linda Oesterling, and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
