11:51 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Lewis Space, 50, of Franklin Township struck and sheared off a utility pole at College and Lorenz streets.

Tuesday — Police charged David E. Chilcott, 57, of Butler with lying to police stemming from a drunken driving investigation March 16 at the C & S Wonder Wash on Route 8 North.Chilcott is charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities and driving with a suspended license.10:48 p.m. Monday — Justin M. Dalo, 26, of Oakland Township was arrested after he allegedly stiffed a cab driver and became combative with police officers at the Butler Commons shopping center.Police said Dalo got a ride to the plaza but refused to pay the Cranberry Taxi Co. driver. He fled toward the Wal-Mart store. Police were called and found him in the store. He was arrested but not before resisting, police said.Dalo was arraigned early Tuesday morning on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and theft of services, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.Monday — Police charged two men in connection with a March 13 fight that left both combatants bruised and injured.The fight, police said, occurred after Jerry Bodish, 30, and his wife's uncle, Brian Kennedy, 40, of Evans City, exchanged text messages and confronted one another at Bodish's Cendell Lane home.Kennedy told police when he got there, Bodish charged at him with a crow bar. Kennedy admitted he restrained Bodish, according to court documents, and threw Bodish to the ground.Bodish said Kennedy put him in a head lock and punched him several times. He acknowledged he bit Kennedy "in self-defense," a police affidavit said.Kennedy, meanwhile, accused Bodish of making a lewd gesture at him.Police said Kennedy had bruises on his left bicep and right forearm. Officers also noticed teeth marks around the bruising. Bodish had scratches on the side of his head and face as well as on his left forearm and bicep, and a bruise on his left side.Both men are charged with simple assault and harassment. Bodish also is charged with open lewdness.

6 p.m. Monday — A black Motorola Minitor IV pager was found on Greenwood Drive near Hunter Farm Park playground. The owner can claim the property at the police station at 337 E. Pine St.March 17 — Police charged Jeffrey Allen Libengood, 25, of Clintonville, Venango County, with forgery, identity theft, theft by deception and retail theft for allegedly using someone else's check March 15 at the Kwik Fill on North Broad Street.Libengood also stole a carton of cigarettes from the store, a police report said.Police arrested the defendant at the Venango County Jail, where he had subsequently been placed for similar charges from another police agency.

Sunday — Someone between midnight and 2:30 a.m. vandalized a mailbox at an Aspen Road home in Fairview Township.1:55 a.m. Saturday — Kevin L. Slee, 39, of Lyndora was arrested for driving under the influence at Washington and New Castle streets in Butler. Police also cited Slee for going the wrong way on a one-way street and careless driving.

Monday — An unknown burglar between 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. broke into a Sportsman Road home in North Buffalo Township. It was not immediately known if any property was taken, a police report said.

March 15 — Someone broke into the Sandy Lake Township building on Kerrtown School Road. A police report did not say if any property was taken. Anyone with information about the burglary that happened March 14 or 15 is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.
