John W. “Jack” Fosnaught Jr.
John W. “Jack” Fosnaught Jr., 60, of Butler passed away surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home on Wednesday.
Born Nov. 9, 1957, in Butler, he was the son of the late John W. and Glenda I. Sykes Fosnaught.
Jack was a member at Butler First United Methodist Church and the Sons of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora.
He was a graduate of Butler High School.
Jack was employed in the steel industry and retired from AK Steel in March of 2014.
He was a “man's man” who enjoyed being outdoors, camping with his family, quad riding in the mountains, mowing the lawn or traveling to the beach.
Jack liked being active in swimming and relaxing at the Butler YMCA, eating good food and living a healthy lifestyle.
Above all else, Jack adored his family. He was a devoted dad and papa.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Crystal Rodgers and her husband, Mark, of Butler; his grandson who was his pride and joy, John Rodgers; his siblings, Jay Fosnaught of Butler, Lee Fosnaught and his wife, Stephany, of Butler, Faye Basham and her husband, Kevin, of Butler, and Connie Steighner and her husband, Ron, of Butler; and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua K. Basham.
FOSNAUGHT — Friends of John W. “Jack” Fosnaught Jr., who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Chance Kelosky of Butler First United Methodist Church officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
