7:25 p.m. Tuesday — A pair of suspected shoplifters allegedly targeted the shoe section at the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.Matthew Zulick, 42, of Butler was caught trying to leave the store without paying for a pair of shoes, a police report said. Jouline L. Walker, 19, of Butler is accused of walking out of the store wearing a pair of shoes she did not pay for, police said.Police said both suspects were cited for retail theft.10:20 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Joshua Fitchko, 27, of Cleveland and John Banks, 64, of Butler collided on New Castle Road in front of Auto Zone.

6:40 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Leona E. Osche, 58, of East Butler and Sheila A. Barrett, 54, of Butler collided on East Butler Road.Both drivers were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. The crash closed the road for about one hour. Police said Osche was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.Monday — Police filed a felony theft charge against a Florida man for allegedly taking a Clay Township man's car.The suspect, Roy David Kinard, 44, of Port Richey, on April 30 asked to borrow Matthew Schenck's red, 1999 Honda Accord. Kinard said he was "only going to a friend's house and would be back in an hour," a police affidavit said.Schenck allowed Kinard to use the car, which was not immediately returned. Police obtained an arrest warrant for the defendant. following the reported theft.Sunday — Someone used a stolen bank debit card, taken from a Bruin woman's home, to make unauthorized purchases between Friday and Sunday at several Chicora and Parker businesses.Saturday — The theft of $905 was reported at the Butler Gymnastics Club on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township. The theft occurred between 9:15 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Saturday.May 5 — Police charged Charles Joseph Brookbank, 28, of Karns City with theft for allegedly stealing several scrap items in February 2008 from a Snake Road home in Parker Township. The stolen property included three riding lawn mowers, three push mowers, a truck tailgate, cutoff truck cab and rototiller.Police said Brookbank admitted to taking the property, according to court documents, which was sold for $80.May 5 — A Sony Dictaphone valued at $60 was stolen between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Petrolia Valley Medical Center on Petrolia.
