Sandra L. Scott, 73, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital.

Born May 16, 1950, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Joan (Henderson) Scott.

Sandy was a 1968 graduate of Knoch High School in Saxonburg and later earned her bachelor's degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1972. Following college, she began working in the Department of Revenue, Corporate Tax Division, of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Sandy retired from the state in 2005 after 33 years of service. A member of the Harrisburg Chapter of the Red Hat Society, she was an avid reader and a fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams.

Sandy is survived by her sister, Catherine Kane of Torrington, Conn.; her brother, Gordon Scott, and his wife, Debra, of Butler; her nephews, Christopher and Stephen Scott and their families; and Jonathan Kane.

Her committal service and interment at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler, will be held at the convenience of the family.
