James William Helfrick, 56, of Sheraden died Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Oct. 16, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward Helfrick and the brother of the late Robert Ivan Helfrick.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Helfrick-Anderson of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Linda Bell of Beaver County and Karen S. Newpol and her husband, Richard, of Cranberry Township; and four brothers, Dennis Helfrick and his wife, Donna Debar, of Pittsburgh, Thomas E. Helfrick of Etna, Curtis Helfrick of Crafton and David W. Helfrick of Pittsburgh.

James had a great laugh and he will be missed.
