Edward Dressler

Edward Dressler, 95, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Lawrenceville, died Wednesday at the Cranberry Place Senior Community.

Born April 5, 1921, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Gregory and Mary Chojnacka Dreslinski. He was raised in Lawrenceville and spent most of his adult life in Cranberry Township.

Edward was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 249 in Pittsburgh.

He was a member of the Harmony Moose and the Cranberry Elks 2249.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a gunner's mate. He was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505 and visited with fellow veterans in Mars and Evans City.

Ed retired from McLean Trucking and enjoyed many years of retirement, which included being a big sports fan of the Pirates and Steelers.

Surviving are his son, Harry G. Dressler and his wife, Peggy, of Cranberry Township; two grandsons, Greg Dressler and his wife, Katy, and Jack Dressler and his wife, Lauren; and four great-grandchildren, Alex, Ava, Daniel and Aubrey Dressler.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel Mae Brown Dressler, and his brothers and sisters.

DRESSLER — Friends of Edward Dressler, who died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
