Peter and Doris Hrip

Peter and Doris Hrip of Lyndora celebrated 65 years of marriage with a surprise dinner with family and friends Sept. 21 at the Monroe Hotel in Butler.

Hrip married the former Doris Kirk on Sept. 18, 1943, in Fallensburg, W.Va.

They have one daughter, Sharon Allen of Prospect. Three sons, Paul, Peter and Mike Hrip are deceased.

They also have nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Hrip is retired from Armco, where he worked for 43 years as a crane operator. He belongs to the Lyndora Legion Golf League and enjoys fishing and bowling.

Mrs. Hrip is a homemaker.

The Hrips belong to the St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
