Brown, Schoeffel break track record
PROSPECT — Brady Brown of Slippery Rock and Steve Schoeffel of Evans City helped gelding Captaintreacherous break the track record during harness racing action at the Big Butler Fairgrounds over the weekend.
Brown drove the horse and Schoeffel is its trainer. The horse completed the race in 1 minute, 59.2 seconds, breaking the previous record of 2:00.2. Schoeffel’s father, Terry, campaigned Audie K, which held the previous record.
In the very next race, 2022 divisional Fair Stakes champion Lou On The Beach posted a time of 1:59.03.
