4:43 p.m. Tuesday — Breanna N. Stuebgen, 20, of Cabot was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to steal about $94 worth of merchandise from the Kmart along Hansen Avenue.2:39 p.m. Tuesday — A van owned by Lori Jo Rivera of East Butler was struck twice by hit-and-run vehicles: Once at 9 a.m. on West Diamond Street near South Jackson Street, damaging the van from the rear tire to the front fender on the driver's side, leaving behind white paint; And once at 11 a.m. while parked on the 400 block of Third Street, damaging the van from its front bumper to front fender on the passenger side, leaving behind red paint.11:25 a.m. Tuesday — Charles Stenger, 37, of Butler suffered minor injuries when he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while crossing West Campbell Street on foot. The offending vehicle, which pulled out of the Marathon gas station and fled down South Jackson Street, was described by witnesses as a white passenger vehicle driven by a younger woman with short, brown hair.
3:45 p.m. Friday — Stephanie M. Evans, 19, of Butler was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to take about $18 worth of merchandise from Spencer’s Gifts in Clearview Mall, Center Township.Friday — A car driven by Sarah Ossezburn, 19, of Butler was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle at the intersection of Route 422 and McConnell Drive in Franklin Township. The offending vehicle was described as a dark-colored pickup truck. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.10:32 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Racheal Heller, 24, of Butler crashed into an embankment after swerving to avoid a deer along Branchton Road in Cherry Township.12:50 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by John M. McLean, 28, of West Sunbury struck a tree along Route 528 just west of Snyder Road in Brady Township. Police said McLean was cited for a lane violation.
