Ritchey

Ida Jean Ritchey, 89, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Sunday afternoon at Windsor Place in Gibsonia.

Born in Middlesex Township, March 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Ferguson Wilson.

She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, where she was former Sunday school teacher.

Mrs. Ritchey was the valedictorian of the Mars High School Class of 1937 and was an avid bridge player. She had been an active volunteer at the Mars Home for Youth and had been an aide at the Mars Middle School and Mars High School.

Surviving are three sons, David A. Ritchey and his wife, Neiva, of Corpus Christy, Texas, Robert E. Ritchey and his wife, Colleen, of Dallas, Texas, and Jeffrey W. Ritchey of Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Paula J. Riggs and her husband, Jeffrey, of Butler; her grandchildren, Robin Ritchey-Roy, Dana Muth, Greg, Brian, and Scott Ritchey, Logan Ritchey and Madison, Cole and Morgan Ritchey; and her great grandchildren, Dakota and Rivers Roy, Peyton and Parker Ritchey and Veronica, Gracie and Trevor Muth. Also nieces and nephews survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Ritchey, who died Feb. 18, 1969; a sister, Dorothy Stoup; and three brothers, Bill, John, and Merle Wilson.

<B>RITCHEY</B> — Friends of Ida Jean Ritchey, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia. Please meet at the church. The Rev. Gary Weston, pastor, will officiate.
