Flaggers placed along Route 8 in Butler during traffic signal changeover
New traffic signals are being installed in Butler, and residents should prepare for temporary changes in traffic patterns as the city prepares to turn on the new signals.
As part of a $2.2 million project, nine traffic signals are in the process of being replaced along Route 8, between its intersections with Pittsburgh Road to Penn Street. Work is being done by Bruce-Merrilees Electrical Company of New Castle.
While the new signals are being turned on, flaggers will be placed along Route 8 from Penn Street to Wayne Street to stop traffic in 15-minute increments. This will occur on May 30 and 31, and again from June 6 to 8.
