12:09 p.m. Wednesday — Police charged Frank J. Tebay, 26, no known address, for illegal possession of prescription drugs after he was seen running from a courtyard at the Cunningham Shanor apartments. Officers quickly caught him hiding behind a home on West New Castle Street.Police searched Tebay and allegedly found him with one pill of trazodone, an antidepressant, and one pill of Skelaxin, a muscle relaxant.

3:10 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jalaine D. Wallace, 19, of Butler struck the rear of a camper that was being towed by a pickup truck on Route 356 near Winfield Road in Winfield Township. Police said Wallace was cited for following too closely to another vehicle William R. Keller Jr., 63, of Sarver was driving the pickup.9:11 a.m. Wednesday — A suspected fugitive wanted by authorities in Ohio was arrested in Center Township. Police said they picked up Charles Alan Mort, 30, of Enon Valley, Lawrence County, on a warrant for theft issued out of Trumbull County. Mort was placed in the Butler County Prison without bail pending extradition to Ohio.
