BUTLER TWP— The Butler County Community College Nursing Program has received a $73,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Foundation as part of the foundation's Nursing Education Grant Program.

More than $10.2 million has been distributed statewide to help reverse the state's nursing shortage by generating non-government financial support to nursing students in the program.

The funding will help increase the recruitment and retention of nursing programs and make nursing schools more attractive to potential students.
