3 women accused of assaulting another woman outside her Butler home
Three women are charged with assault after being accused of assaulting a woman, one of them using a metal-pronged dog collar, outside her Butler residence.
Priscilla Lynn Russell, 30, of Butler, was charged Thursday, April 16, by Butler police with felony aggravated assault following the March 8 incident. Additionally, Allysa Marie Stefanowicz, 29, of Butler, and Savannah Smiles Valorie, 25, of New Castle, were each charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
Police said they were dispatched to the 400 block of West North Street for a fight involving about five people. Upon arrival, police discovered it was a three-on-one fight.
Police said Stefanowicz showed them a video she took on her phone of the beginning of the fight. The video showed the assaulted woman on her porch with two 10- and 11-year-old children behind her as she yelled at the three accused to go home, police said.
The video later showed Russell swinging a dog collar with metal prongs at the assaulted woman, police said. They said the collar is designed for K-9 units.
Police said Russell and Valorie are also seen swinging at the assaulted woman in the video. Police said she was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital that night for head trauma, cervical spine strain and pain to her arm, elbow and shoulder. She required a sling for her injuries, police said.
The assaulted woman also showed police bald spots where her hair was pulled out and a bruise that was still on her left hand nine days after the fight. The woman also claimed to have blacked out after she was pushed to the ground.
Police said earlier that night, the assaulted woman encountered Valorie and Stefanowicz in the bathroom of The Chestnut Street Inn. Stefanowicz reportedly threatened an assault, telling the woman “it’s on sight.”
The assaulted woman said later that night, she had been home for 30 to 45 minutes when her son and others encountered Russell, Valorie and Stefanowicz at 7-Eleven, according to police.
Police said the three woman chased them back to the assaulted woman’s home where the fight occurred.
Preliminary hearings for the three woman have not yet been scheduled.
