Monday — A homeowner told police that 40 garlic plants were uprooted from a garden at his home in the 400 block of East Main Street. The garden was damaged between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.
4 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Amy L. Farabaugh, 26, of Carnegie, Allegheny County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79, just south of Brandon Road in Worth Township. Police said the accident happened when Farabaugh apparently fell asleep at the wheel.Tuesday — Ryan Mullen, 26, of Butler is accused of breaking into a garage at a home on Old Route 422 in Franklin Township between 1 and 2 p.m., and stealing tires and wheels worth $500. Police said Mullen faces burglary and other charges.Tuesday — Police cited Keith N. Walsh, 22, of Mars with a pair of traffic violations stemming from a hit-and-run crash May 14 on Valencia Road in Forward Township. Police said Walsh left the scene of the crash after his vehicle struck two utility poles. In addition to hit-and-run, he is charged with a lane violation.3:59 p.m. Saturday — A Westmoreland County woman was hurt when she lost control of her motor scooter and crashed on Route 308 in Clay Township. Nadine P. Kistler, 48, of Irwin, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown off the scooter. She was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.Saturday — Someone broke into a home in the 700 block of Old Route 422 West in Franklin Township and stole a number of unspecified items. The burglary occurred between May 1 and Saturday.11:03 p.m. May 17 — A car driven by Kristin M. Muller, 23, of Butler crashed into a retaining wall and rolled over in a yard on Route 38 near Victoria Lane in Center Township. Police said Muller was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
