Agnes E. Koehne

Agnes E. Barnhart Koehne, of Kingwood, Texas, formerly of Cincinnati and Butler, entered eternal rest Sept. 15 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Westmoreland County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Wells Hough Barnhart and James B. Barnhart; her sister, Ruth Barnhart Weiland; and a granddaughter-in-law, Eunice Koehne.

She is survived by her daughter, Agnes Green of Kingwood, Texas; her son, R. Curtis Koehne and his wife, Pam, of Mechanicsville, Va.; her brother, James B. Barnhart and his wife, Patty, of Butler; grandchildren, Shelly Kirby and her husband, Phil, Michael Koehne and Ryan Koehne and his wife, Michelle; a niece, Betty Ross and her husband, Dick; and three great-grandchildren, Tanner, Corbin and Loren Agnes Kirby.

She was a devoted mom and grandmother who took great pride in her family.

While in Cincinnati, she pursued a career in the restaurant industry. Aggie could always be counted on to be the most gracious hostess and prepare an unforgettable gourmet dinner.

<B>KOEHNE</B> — Friends of Agnes E. Barnhart Koehne, who died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Boos officiating.
