LUKE VITTONE (Eden Christian/Seven Fields) tripled, doubled, singled and scored three runs in the first game of a Grove City baseball doubleheader sweep of Franciscan. The Wolverines won the game, 13-7. Vittone doubled and singled in the nightcap, an 11-0 win.
DAVID LESLIE (Butler) struck out six and allowed no earned runs through seven for Grove City to get the win in that first game. ROBBY RANDOLPH (North Catholic/Cranberry Twp.) retired all four batters he faced in relief to earn his first collegiate save.
NASH BRYAN (Butler) earned his sixth save of the season for Pitt’s baseball team, tossing a scoreless ninth inning in a win over California.
GABBY KUTCHMA (Seneca Valley) earned a PSAC-qualifying mark in the 3,000-meters for Clarion with a time of 12 minutes, 28.66 seconds at Shippensburg’s Paul Kaiser Classic.
AUTUMN PETTINATO (Butler) his a PSAC-qualifying mark in the javelin for Clarion at the Paul Kaiser Classic with a throw of 35.52 meters.
MATTHEW LASLAVIC (Seneca Valley) of Penn State Behrend’s men’s track and field team placed fourth in the triple jump at 12.76 meters and fifth in the javelin at 44.98 meters.
QUINTIN WEAVER (Union) of Thiel’s men’s track and field team recovered a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters at 1 minute, 58 seconds at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships.
MEGAN WISE (Moniteau) paced Grove City’s women’s track and field team in throws at the PAC Championships, placing third in the discus at 122 feet.
BRADY PAGE (Seneca Valley) and RYAN GREER (Seneca Valley) scored two goals each for Westminster’s men’s lacrosse team during a 15-6 win at Penn College.
JACK ANDERSON (Mars) tallied three hits, three RBI and two runs scored in Pitt baseball’s 14-6 win over California.
JAMES PARENTI (Moniteau) placed second in the discus for Grove City’s men’s track and field team at the PAC Championships. His throw was 145 feet, 10 inches. Grove City captured the team championship.
