Rain cancels Fab4 Lernerville racing

BUFFALO TWP — Steady showers forced cancellation of Friday night’s Fab 4 racing card at Lernerville Speedway.

Fab4 racing returns next Friday for First Responders Night. Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 6:40 p.m., racing at 7:30 p.m.

Rottman shines in Thiel victory

GREENVILLE — Moniteau graduate Abby Rottman had three hits in four at bats during the first game of a Thiel College softball doubleheader sweep of Chatham on Thursday.

Rottman scored two runs in the game as well. The Tomcats won the twinbill by scores of 6-5 and 6-3.

Patton top athlete at PAC track meet

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Moniteau graduate and Westminster College senior Jacob Patton was named Most Outstanding Performer at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday night for the second successive year.

Patton won the 110-meter hurdles in 14.79 seconds and the 400-meter hurdles in 54.31. He anchored the first-place 4x100 meter relay (42.66) and second-place 4x400 relay (3:22.67). He totaled 32.50 points in the meet.

Karns City graduate Anthony Kamenski ran a leg of the Titans’ winning 4x100 relay. He placed third in the 110 hurdles (15.46) and 400 hurdles (55.42).
