Moniteau’s Patton gets PAC honors
TRAFFORD — Moniteau graduate and Westminster College senior Jacob Patton has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week.
Patton won the 400-meter hurdles in 52.98 seconds at the John Papa Invitational and was runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.96. Both of his times highlight the league’s performance lists.
SV graduate Page leads Titans win
NEW WILMINGTON — Seneca Valley graduate and Westminster College freshman Brady Page scored five goals and added two assists in the Titans’ 17-6 men’s lacrosse win over Chatham on Tuesday.
Fellow SV graduate Ryan Greer, a senior, scored three goals and had three ground balls for the Titans (9-6, 5-2).
Lynn, Marcellus help Mount Aloysius sweep
GREENSBURG — Butler graduates Ryan Lynn and Braden Marcellus helped Mount Aloysius score an 8-5, 14-12 baseball doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Greensburg recently.
Lynn doubled in the first game, had three hits and two RBI in the nightcap. Marcellus, a freshman, delivered a pinch-hit game-winning two-run double in the ninth inning of the second game, snapping a 12-12 deadlock.
Mount Aloysius is 5-3 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play.
SR resident Brown nets another win
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Tiamogonedancen, driven by Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown, scored another victory in harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
The 5-year-old mare won the 27th race of her career, capturing a $7,000 Conditioned Pace.
