Tom E. Ross
Tom E. Ross, 76, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Butler, died at 5 a.m. Jan. 22 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.
Born in Butler, Dec. 1, 1931, he was a son of Wesley and Rose Gearhart Ross.
He was a 1949 graduate of Butler High School. While in high school, he was a soda jerk at Cummings Candy store on Main Street.
Following high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War.
He retired as treasurer and controller for Ocean Technology Corp. in Los Angeles, Calif.
He married Lynn Ross on Feb. 24, 1952. She survives along with a daughter, Pat Ross of California; a sister, Betty LaMar of Antioch, Calif.; a grandson, Michael Ross of Easton, Pa., and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Ross of Easton.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Ross, and a grandson, Cory Ross.
