Adria Emilie Campbell Jackson, 86, of Karns City, a Haysville resident for more than 50 years, died early Monday morning at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born Dec. 5, 1921, she was one of 12 children of Ralph and Edna Mae Folsteadt Campbell.

Mrs. Jackson was 1939 graduate of Concord High School in Hooker.

She was married in Greenup, Ky., Aug. 5, 1942, to Joseph Gardner Jackson. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2005.

Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and longtime active member of Karns City United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, playing the piano and participating in the Who Do Ladies Sunday School Class.

She enjoyed bowling, sewing, reading, knitting and walking through the mall shopping. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and canning fruits and vegetables for her grandchildren.

She and her late husband, Joseph, enjoyed traveling, especially to his Army Air Corps reunions all over the world, as well as fishing, camping and hunting.

Surviving are three daughters, Lana J. Swartzlander and her husband, Ronald, of Chicora, Linda J. White and her husband, Daniel, of Woodbury, N.J., and Lorri J. Drumm and her husband, Daniel, of Springboro; 11 grandchildren, Stacy Stoughton and her husband, Lewis, of Chicora, Dawn Ehrat and her husband, Matt, of Ingram, Mark Swartzlander of Karns City, Paula Gonzalez and her husband, Tony, of Delaware, Danny, George and Kathleen White of Woodbury, N.J., and Danny, Joseph, Michael and Rachel Drumm of Springboro; and nine great-grandchildren. Three brothers, Ray Campbell of Boyers, Robert Campbell of Karns City and Walt Campbell of Ridgeville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Homer "Skip" Campbell, Vance Campbell, Jack Campbell, James Campbell, Carl Campbell and Ralph Campbell; and two sisters, Mildred Krajewski and Ruth Beatty.

<B>JACKSON</B> — Friends of Adria Emilie Campbell Jackson, who died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glea Foster, her church pastor, and the Rev. Glenn Kohlhepp officiating.
