Florence I. Campbell

Florence I. Campbell, 93, of Butler, died Sunday afternoon at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 6, 1924, in Brockway.

She was a daughter of the late Arthur Eli McDowell and Hulda N. Jones.

Florence was a homemaker and previously worked at B&O Railroad after World War II, the YWCA in Butler, Dr. Walker in Butler and also Marian Heater Beauty Shop.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Butler and was a member and volunteer for the Mental Health Association, the WCTU in Butler and also the Child Evanigelism Program.

Surviving Florence are her three daughters: Jamesene (Thomas) DeBord of Church Hill, Tenn.; Jacqueline (Bob) Wells of Butler and Susan (Gary) Casper of West Sunbury; one son Norman (Andrea) Campbell of Liederbach, Germany; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John B. “Bernie” Campbell who died Feb. 5, 2004.

CAMPBELL — Friends of Florence I. Campbell, who died Sunday, June 4, 2017, will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Butler.Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
