Elaine L. Chaunce
Elaine L. Chaunce, formerly Prengaman, 63, of Butler passed peacefully in her sleep Saturday surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Euclid, Ohio, April 10, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Richard Chaunce and Marion Collindridge Chaunce.
Elaine grew up on Lake Erie and fell in love with the water. She loved to swim and boat and was a certified lifeguard. She was happiest when she was sitting in the sand with the water lapping at her feet.
She graduated from Kent State University in 1968 with a degree in English. She was last employed by National Underground Storage in Boyers.
Elaine enjoyed working in her garden, doing interior decorating and attending theater and cultural events in the city. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three loving sons, William R. Prengaman, 38, of Portersville, Andy L. Prengaman, 35, of West Sunbury and Ted T. Prengaman, 34, of Pittsburgh. She also is survived by two brothers, Richard Chaunce of West Chester, Pa., and Gary Chaunce of Edon, Ohio.
<B>CHAUNCE </B>— A memorial service for Elaine L. Chaunce, formerly Prengaman, who died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Campbell officiating.
